Bronx Hunger Fight
According to the National Geographics, "The South Bronx has the highest rate of food insecurity in the country, 37 percent, compared to 16.6 percent for New york City as a whole".
Knowing this fact, we have decided to join forces with Part of the Solution to help nourish the basic needs and hunger of those in need.
We are beginning this collaboration with a hand to hand food drive that ends November 18, 2015. All contributed items will be donated to POS in the Bronx. Following this, Somo Monarks will be hosting a soup kitchen at POS where we will assist in feeding hot meals to every individual who enters the building.
